Fit the child before packing
Weight is only one requirement. Follow the exact carrier's developmental, seat, panel, airway, and position guidance before making it the travel plan.
Practice every adjustment at home
Both caregivers should know the buckles, strap path, hood, and safe removal routine before using the carrier in a busy terminal or parking lot.
Inspect after storage
Unpack the carrier and check fabric, seams, webbing, buckles, and adjustment before each trip. Compact storage should not hide damage or twisted straps.
Keep a backup transport plan
Heat, fatigue, child mood, baggage, or a long walk can make a stroller or cart more appropriate. Packability does not make one carrier ideal for every travel segment.
