The calculator applies a broad age-based planning range. Feeding patterns, sleep, illness, childcare routines, diaper type, and the individual baby can move actual usage up or down. Change a diaper when needed and follow pediatric guidance rather than delaying a change to match a budget estimate.
A large subscription looks efficient until the baby changes size, develops a fit problem, or a brand leaks. Keep a practical reserve, record one normal week of actual use, and expand the order only after the current size and product are working.
For travel or a temporary gap, multiply the daily estimate by the exact number of days and add a modest backup. For ongoing purchases, use observed weekly use and delivery reliability instead of relying indefinitely on the age default.
Keep enough for an ordinary delivery delay or a short unexpected change in routine, but avoid stockpiling so many that the baby outgrows the size before the packs are opened.
